'And when David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of the LORD;'
What David did
1) 'he sent of the spoil to the elders of Judah: of that part of it which belonged to himself as a general:
2) even to his friends; such as had been kind to him when he sojourned among them;
3) some in those parts he sent of the spoil to might have been sufferers by the Amalekites,
4) so that it was but a point of justice to restore to them what had been taken from them;'
[Over the course of a year, let you offerings, seeds and sacrifice cover a range of people and sectors.]
How he did it
'saying, behold, a present for you, of the spoil of the Lord's enemies; or a "blessing" (z), which he sent them with a good will, wishing health and happiness to them;'
[Be a cheerful giver. Do not view sowing a seed negatively or as a chore.]
Why he did it
1) 'Partly in gratitude for their former favour to him; and partly in policy to engage their affections to him now when he apprehended Saul’s death near.'
2) 'In gratitude for the assistance he had received from them during his wanderings, and to secure their good will when Saul’s death should open the way for him to the throne.'
3) 'Sending these gifts could not fail to make the elders of these cities well disposed towards him, and so to facilitate his recognition as king after the death of Saul, which occurred immediately afterwards.'

Be sure to acknowledge the goodwill of others in securing your passage. You need their favour for a free passage.
Pray and say:
'Holy Spirit in this matter I am giving my offering to:

3) The Food bank
4) To Charity ( International Aids, health charities, homeless people, dog's home etc)
5) To the Community
[I am giving time to do a community service e.g. help take food to people who are housebound, plant a tree in the common or public space/ park. ]
6) Anyone in need e.g. help pay a rent or school fees.
This is how you sow a seed for a breakthrough and answered prayers. But you must sow a seed with each prayer request for a passage to it.
May the blessings of God be upon you and your loved ones. Amen.
